Dr. Campbell is presently the Medical Director for Suburban Health Organization in Indianapolis. SHO provides services to 13 hospitals and their affiliated Physician Hospital Organizations throughout central Indiana. His activities include oversight of population management activities, credentialing, quality improvement, physician profiling, physician incentive programs, and support of contracting initiatives. While there, he has developed a case management patient identification methodology and has overseen the implementation of a number of other systems upgrades. These upgrades include the customization and installation of a new care and disease management registry system.

He also serves on the Indiana Employers Forum and is involved in the development of a community wide network profiling with that organization. Dr. Campbell has worked at several large companies such as Kaiser Permanente, Choice Care, Humana, and CIGNA where he held Medical Director, CMO, and CEO positions.

He graduated from Wayne State University and completed a residency in Family Practice through Michigan State University. His practice encompassed obstetrics, pediatrics, and adult medicine. Dr. Campbell has been a surveyor for NCQA since 1992 and has provided leadership to plans undergoing both URAC and Medicare surveys. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Indiana State Medical Association, the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians, and the American College of Physician Executives.
