Dynamic Business and Medical Systems and
Individualized Care Management Finalize
Purchase Agreement
|
In April, 2007 the
Board of Directors of Dynamic Business
and Medical Systems (DBMS) and
Individualized Care Management (ICM)
entered into a purchase agreement which
lead to DBMS Health Services, LLC
acquiring the Lafayette-based firm
Individualized Care Management. For the
past several years, the corporate
mission of both companies has been to
become the leading supplier of care
management services. The acquisition of
Individualized Care Management brings
them a major step closer to the
accomplishment of that goal. "This is a
very exciting time for both companies,
which will now allow ICM to better serve
its customers through advanced
technology and DBMS to enhance its
suites of healthcare technology products
by presenting to its customers a direct
patient care management option.", said
Isaac J. Myers II, M.D., the company's
president.
DBMS, a technology company established
in 1994 provides software, technology,
support, data base management, and
consultant services designed to meet the
needs of employers, health plans, and
care management organizations. Their
corporate office is located in
Indianapolis, Indiana with additional
locations in Houston, Canada, and
internationally.
Individualized Care Management, a
medical management company established
in 1992, is located in Lafayette,
Indiana. Working with self-funded and
fully-insured health plans,
Individualized Care Management (ICM)
provides utilization and case management
for clients throughout the United
States. Their core product includes
utilization, condition and case
management, in addition to behavioral
healthcare coaching.
DBMS and ICM are energized about what
this integration of state-of-the-art
technology and advanced health
management will bring to current and
future clients. For starters, DBMS' high
tech web access products provide real
time, on-line reporting and outcome
measurement at the employers'
fingertips. No more waiting for
information. This information will be
readily available to all clients. In a
day and age where employers and
consumers are seeking to find solutions
to reduce the impact of rising health
care costs, this new venture will
provide a number of options. Not only
will the positioning of state-of-the-art
technology with effective health care
management lead to timely health care
information, it will also allow for a
more proactive method to identify
opportunities, sub sequentially
improving patient outcomes.
